Alone onstage, wrapped in oversized clothes, she appeared as a hybrid between Ethel Cain and a toxic version of Lana Del Rey, with echoes of Florence and the Machine and Billie Eilish. Musically, she oscillated between dance, rock, and desert blues, creating an unpredictable blend held together with disarming confidence despite her very young age.
Sola sul palco avvolta nei vestiti oversize, è apparsa come un ibrido tra Ethel Cain e una versione tossica di Lana Del Rey, con echi di Florence and the Machine e Billie Eilish. Musicalmente ha oscillato tra dance, rock e blues desertico, creando un ibrido imprevedibile tenuto assieme con una sicurezza disarmante nonostante la giovanissima età.

There was nothing “nostalgic” in the way these songs were presented in Paris: they might be old on paper, but they still sound physical, convincing, alive. At the Zénith we saw bands that don’t just manage their catalog, they put it back into play. Skunk Anansie does it by accentuating the roughest and most political part of their sound, pushing for direct contact with the crowd under the stage; Garbage with a highly lucid live show, where the attention to detail takes nothing away from the emotional impact, but rather amplifies it. Two different ways of bringing a legacy born thirty years ago into 2026: no relics, just songs, still essential.
Non c’è stato niente di “nostalgico” nel modo in cui questi brani sono stati proposti a Parigi: sono vecchi di carta d’identità, ma suonano ancora fisici, convincenti, vivi. Allo Zénith si sono visti gruppi che non amministrano il proprio catalogo, lo rimettono in gioco. Gli Skunk Anansie lo fanno accentuando la parte più ruvida e politica del loro suono, spingendo sul contatto diretto con la gente sotto il palco; i Garbage con un live lucidissimo, dove la cura dei dettagli non toglie nulla all’impatto emotivo, anzi lo amplifica. Due modi diversi di portare sul 2026 un’eredità nata trent’anni fa: niente santini, solo canzoni, ancora imprescindibili.

In tutto il disco c’è una capacità di maneggiare il pop in modo sofisticato e moderno che ben impressiona: nulla è sfacciato o pacchiano, tutto dosato alla perfezione. Se fosse un film, avremmo estetica, forma e sostanza, fotografia, trama e regia.

High heels and that distinctive way of sitting sideways at the piano. Time passes, but at the Teatro degli Arcimboldi in Milan she proved to be the same Tori Amos: less theatrical than in the ’90s, yet with a perfectly controlled voice and flawless timing. Talent never ages, and her stage presence conveyed a natural authority, that of a true queen.
Tacco altissimo e quel modo particolare di sedersi a trequarti davanti al pianoforte. Gli anni passano, ma al Teatro degli Arcimboldi di Milano si è confermata la solita Tori Amos: meno teatrale rispetto agli anni ’90, ma con una voce perfettamente controllata e una gestione dei tempi impeccabile. Il talento non invecchia mai, e la sua presenza scenica sul palco ha trasmesso un’autorevolezza naturale, quella di una vera regina.

Il disco si muove su coordinate di elettronica mistica ma ben piantata a terra, intrisa di echi anni Ottanta. La produzione, curata in tandem con Mario Conte, va dritta al sodo: l’album suona fresco, vanta un’ottima stratificazione e tecnicamente non è invecchiato di un giorno.
