“Keep The Faith” di Bent Joshua è un disco compatto, con una direzione chiara, nulla è lasciato al caso. Ogni suono e ogni parola trovano la loro esatta collocazione, allontanando qualsiasi disordine in favore di un quadro lucido.
Il viaggio inizia con “Tired Lately”, un’apertura catartica che ti scava dentro al primo ascolto, lasciando un segno netto e rivelando fin da subito la grana particolarissima della voce di Joshua. Subito dopo, “Damaged Thoughts” inietta ritmo ed echi reggae pur restando nel medesimo alveo introspettivo: il testo è ottimo e prende per mano chi ascolta, trascinandolo in un immaginario dove si capisce che ogni singola parola possiede un senso specifico. La riflessione prosegue con “Save My Soul”, traccia sorretta da un ritornello solido. Con “What’s Above Love?” i giri del motore salgono e la rotta vira verso la dance, ma senza mai farsi sfacciata.
