MALAKI First Last Time

Dobbiamo essere sinceri: al primo impatto questo pezzo non ci aveva convinto. Poi, però, con i passaggi successivi, abbiamo cambiato diametralmente opinione. È un brano particolare, un alt-pop-rock che non urla, ma cerca l’intimità con l’ascoltatore, e ci riesce grazie a una voce molto personale, quasi “ubriaca”, che dona una strana e affascinante poetica al tutto. È la dimostrazione che certe canzoni hanno bisogno di tempo per farsi capire.

We have to be honest: at first, this track didn’t win us over. Then, however, with subsequent plays, we completely changed our minds. It’s a peculiar song, an alt-pop-rock piece that doesn’t shout but seeks intimacy with the listener, and it succeeds thanks to a very personal, almost “drunken” voice that lends a strange and fascinating poetry to the whole thing. It’s proof that some songs need time to be understood.
