Acting as the central pivot is the fourth track, “Skyscrapers (Prod. by eeryskies)”. It might be less flashy than the opening trio, but on a lyrical level, it carries a remarkable specific weight and demands attention. The impact changes radically with “Perseverance (prod. by pilotkid)”, where the atmospheres become liquid again: your head naturally nods to the beat of super sexy rhythms, letting you slowly slip into an isolated bubble. Heading toward the conclusion, “Lenses (prod. by bvtman)” proves to be one of those tracks to play on repeat, purposely made to push the listener to follow and fully understand the lyrics. The curtain finally falls on “To Whom it May Concern (prod. by pilotkid)”, a track placed exactly where it belongs. Dimenticate i progetti annacquati: “Still High…” di Raw Soul è pura urgenza espressiva. Un distillato di otto tracce vivo, denso e viscerale, che ti afferra e ti tira dentro il suo mondo senza il minimo preavviso. “Run Free (Prod. by ARVM Beats)” rappresenta un inizio che mette subito le cose in chiaro: gli incastri lirici funzionano a dovere e il tappeto musicale segue la rotta designata senza sbandare o perdersi in fronzoli. La prima parte del disco scivola via fluida, restituendo belle sensazioni, mescolando asfalto e rose. C’è una radice hip hop evidente, eppure il suono viene costantemente attraversato da vibrazioni soul, correnti urban e persino sfumature trip hop. La musica gioca a nascondere stili differenti nel suo ventre, sempre con l’obiettivo di portare l’asticella un gradino più in alto. Per inquadrare concretamente questa intenzione, basta lasciarsi catturare dalla spettacolare “In Need (of Healing) (prod. by eeryskies)”.
A fare da snodo centrale c’è il quarto brano, “Skyscrapers (Prod. by eeryskies)”. Risulta forse meno appariscente rispetto alla terna d’apertura, ma a livello lirico ha un peso specifico notevole e pretende attenzione. Il sipario cala infine su “To Whom it May Concern (prod. by pilotkid)”, una traccia collocata nel punto esatto in cui deve stare. Qui l’arrangiamento si fa pregiato: una scrittura solida e un ottimo flow si appoggiano su una produzione a cinque stelle. E’ l’asso finale, la partita è vinta.
