The rhythm changes in this song recall some of Halsey’s harmonic constructions, even though these are very different projects: here, the direction is closer to indie rock. The lyrics work, but it is especially the structure of the track that succeeds: the different sections flow naturally into one another, while the energy remains consistent throughout the development. A solid construction that gives each part its proper space without losing momentum.
