I Placebo hanno fatto una versione leggendaria di “Running Up That Hill“, difficile da eguagliare. Questa rivisitazione però ci si avvicina parecchio: c’è fedeltà a Kate Bush senza essere didascalici, e soprattutto c’è una lettura personale che non è semplice imitazione. Il brano regge bene il peso del confronto con le altre grandi interpretazioni esistenti. E poi c’è Veda, con quella voce spettacolare che conosce bene chi la segue: qui la usa al massimo del suo potenziale, dando al pezzo esattamente quello che serve per funzionare.

Placebo made a legendary version of “Running Up That Hill“, hard to match. This reinterpretation though comes pretty close: there’s faithfulness to Kate Bush without being didactic, and above all there’s a personal reading that isn’t simple imitation. The track holds up well under the weight of comparison with other great existing interpretations. And then there’s Veda, with that spectacular voice well known to those who follow her: here she uses it to its full potential, giving the piece exactly what it needs to work.
