A simple song, but with the right ideas in the right places. There is something of Italian singer-songwriter tradition here (for example Paolo Conte), especially in the way the melody is built and handled, but the track does not stop at that reference. The chorus works well, as do the verses, and everything helps give the song a compact and well-balanced shape. Nothing feels out of place: every part has its own space, allowing the track to express itself naturally.
