GRACE DE GIER Your Name

What a cool piece: a piano keeping time, almost baroque melodic flourishes, and a gothic atmosphere that seems to bring together Tori Amos and Sofia Isella. What makes it stand out is the way it moves between elegance and unease, creating a character that is not easy to put into a box. At times the sound turns acidic, while elsewhere it becomes surprisingly welcoming. A distinctive balance that gives the listening experience plenty of shades and makes the whole thing damn fascinating.
